Joe Mazzone (Owner/Operator)
Joe has been involved in the health and fitness industry since 1997. A 1992 graduate of St. Edward High School, Joe earned a full athletic scholarship to Bowling Green State Univ. where he played football and earned a Bachelors Degree in Sports Marketing. Following his graduation from BGSU, Joe took his love of the weightroom and developed his research and knowlegde of training and nutrition into a successful bodybuilding career. Joe was recognized as a top national level competitor and was a sponsored athlete with Universal Nutrition and Animal Products, traveling the country and promoting Universal Products at well recognized events such as the Mr.Olympia contest and the Arnold Sports Festival. In December of 2010, Joe and his partner Amanda Hatfield opened Powerhouse Gym Berea. He is responsible for marketing, gym development, and forming solid partnerships with the gym members, corporate partners, and surrounding communities.

Amanda Hatfield (Owner/General Manager)
Amanda is the “rock” which PHG Berea was built on. Amanda excelled in the sport of gymnastics at a young age and continued to develop her skills as a gymnast at North Olmsted High School and Kent State Univ. Following her gymnastics career Amanda found a love for the sport of fitness and in one competitive year became a nationally recognized fitness competitor. In June 2012, she achieved IFBB Pro status and is known for her creative fitness routines and high flying tumbling. Amanda truly lives the fitness lifestyle year-round and also teaches gymastics and tumbling at United Force of Ohio in Brunswick. As an inspiration to all moms wishing to get into shape, Amanda is the mother of 2. Amanda is responsible for the day to day operations at PHG Berea and personally trains select clients
